James Ralph Trading – Activities in Education in S.A.

1: James Ralph Trading employs four maths teachers who visit schools throughout South Africa to carry out training workshops for educators and students. These workshops are designed to ensure that teachers and students are totally competent with the use of the latest Casio Scientific calculators. They also give the educators new ideas on making their maths lessons more interesting and exciting for the learners.

2: James Ralph Trading is a major sponsor of the Association for Maths Education in South Africa (AMESA). Over the past few years we have contributed a large amount of money and time in ensuring the success of both national and regional AMESA conferences, meetings and training seminars and the establishment of new regional branches. We also provide professional training workshops at many of these AMESA functions.

3: James Ralph Trading gives financial support and prizes for the majority of the Maths  Olympiads (competitions) held nationally.

4: James Ralph Trading sponsors local educators and students to attend international maths congresses and competitions.

5: James Ralph Trading has, over the past five years, supplied thousands of scientific calculators free of charge to previously disadvantaged educators.
